Darla Torres ’18 is awarded a prestigious Rangel Fellowship.

Darla Torres ’18 has been awarded a 2022 Charles B. Rangel Graduate Fellowship—a U.S. State Department program administered by Howard University that helps prepare young people for careers as diplomats in the U.S. Foreign Service. Torres, a math and statistics major from Miami, Fla., recently taught English in South Korea for two years on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award. She plans to use the Rangel Fellowship to attend a master’s program in fall 2022 in preparation toward becoming a Foreign Service Officer.
