Four faculty have received the Nelson Bushnell ’20 Prize for excellence in teaching and writing.

Williams is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Nelson Bushnell ’20 Prize, the college’s major award for faculty excellence in teaching and writing. Awarded to 66 faculty members since its inception in 1995, the Bushnell Prize is given to faculty who are consistently recognized both by their colleagues and their students as excellent teachers and mentors.

The prize winners for this year are:

Steven J. Kuster, assistant professor of physical education and head swim coach
Tiku Majumder, Barclay Jermain Professor of Natural Philosophy, chair of astronomy
Karen R. Merrill, professor of history
Kashia Pieprzak, Massachusetts Professor of Francophone Literature, French Language, and Comparative Literature
