Of Mutts and Men (A Chet and Bernie Mystery)

Tenth in a series of 12, this Chet and Bernie tale begins with a wild rooftop chase to recover a stolen painting and continues the breakneck pace as man and dog pursue a murder case. Chet, the narrator and loyal dog companion of private investigator Bernie Little, tells the story of going to meet hydrologist Wendell Nero and finding him dead—then trying to determine if his death was a random murder of part of a larger scheme. Bernie suspects the police arrested the wrong man, and Chet follows his nose to see if Bernie is correct. With Chet’s sharp nose and Bernie’s excellent instincts, these two are sure to solve the case.
