with their eyes September 11th: the view from a high school at ground zero
Edited by Annie Thoms ’97. Harper Collins, 2011. In the wake of the attacks on the World Trade Center, students from Stuyvesant High School––four blocks from Ground Zero––developed a play made up of interview-based monologues that recounted firsthand stories of the day from members of their community. This volume, published on the 10th anniversary of the attacks, includes the original tributes in remembrance of those who were lost and those who were forced to witness the tragedy as well as an updated introduction.
