Hooray for Mountain Day!
Against a backdrop of blue skies and fiery fall colors, students and others in the Williams community celebrated this year’s Mountain Day on Oct. 11. Per tradition, classes were cancelled so that everyone could enjoy the great outdoors, with hikes for all interests and abilities. The annual, daylong event also featured live music and dance performances, cider donuts and a picnic on Chapin Lawn. In President Maud S. Mandel’s message announcing this year’s Mountain Day, she encouraged everyone to find their “own ways to celebrate” and “appreciate this beautiful day and, with it, the splendors of fall!”
